Odds as of August 11th
The forecast is expected to be cloudy with sunny breaks and wind gusts only reaching around ten miles per hour throughout the day. The players to tee off first at 6:50am will face low 70 degree temperatures with that reaching low 90’s for those finishing up their rounds in the evening.
A benefit for those teeing it up in the morning is the exact same as it is every week – less bumpy greens with fewer players chewing them up.
Louis Oosthuizen Always Contending
Louis Oosthuizen has been living on the first page of leaderboards for the better part of three months. He led the US Open and Open Championship after Thursday in June and July, and has been inside the top-20 in seven straight PGA Tour events.
During that span, the South African has three runner-ups and a third place finish. He’s also been outstanding on day one for the entire season.

In the last 24 rounds, Oosthuizen is first in total strokes gained, second in SG: approach and putting and fourth tee-to-green and short game. It wouldn’t come as a shock to see him grab the early edge yet again.
- Pick: Louis Oosthuizen (+3000)
Seamus Power on a Tear
Like Oosthuizen, Seamus Power has also been on a prolonged stretch of fantastic golf. He did that quietly until he won his first PGA Tour event at the Barbasol Championship in a thrilling playoff last start.
Power has been dynamite in the last 24 rounds in several key strokes gained categories.

The Irishman has also been hot out of the gate this season, ranking fourth best on Thursday’s of those competing at the Wyndham. He has four straight opening rounds in the 60’s, and hasn’t shot worse than 72 in the last ten openers.
In his last six overall events, he’s been inside the top-20 in all of them, with four top-10’s.
- Pick: Seamus Power (+4500)
Ryan Armour Trending Up
In his last two medal play events, Ryan Armour has been hovering near the top of leaderboards, placing T-5th at the Barbasol Championship and T-6th at the 3M Open. In the latter tournament, he was just two strokes back heading into the final round.
Sedgefield Country Club isn’t overly long, which is music to Armour’s ears as he’s one of the shortest hitters on tour (197th in driving distance). Subsequently, he’s had success in recent years at this venue.

From 2017 to 2020, his results at the Wyndham Championship have been solid – T-4th, T-8th, T-22nd, T-25th. With that said, he’s also a player on our radar for a top-20 bet for the entire tournament.
Given his recent strong play and his success at this track, Armour sports enticing value.
- Pick: Ryan Armour (+8000)
