AEW Revolution, which will be the company’s first quarterly pay-per-view of 2021, is set to feature a slew of marquee matches as well as some surprises. The AEW World Championship between Jon Moxley and Kenny Omega headline the event.
Newcomer Paul Wight, formerly known as WWE’s Big Show, announced on Wednesday’s Dynamite that a huge, hall of fame-worthy name will sign a multi-year contract with AEW at the event. Additionally, there will be a Ladder match to determine the number one contender to the AEW TNT Championship as well as a tag team Casino Battle Royale.
As of now, betting odds are only available for five of the nine matches currently scheduled for Sunday, including two top title matches and Sting’s return to the ring. Mere days out from AEW Revolution, let’s analyze the latest odds for who is expected to emerge victorious in each bout.

Odds as of March 6
Adam Page vs Matt Hardy
The stipulation states that the loser of this match will have to give up their quarter-one earnings to the winner. In other words, fans have zero reason to care about who wins because nothing tangible is on the line, such as a championship or future title shot.

Although the feud has been built up nicely in recent months, this is mostly AEW’s way of keeping Hangman busy before he inevitably challenges Kenny Omega, his former tag team partner, for the AEW World Championship down the road. Hardy has won his last three pay-per-view matches, and Page is due to a victory, even though it isn’t the most high-profile. Page’s -350 odds enforce that.
Best Friends vs Miro and Sabian
This match is arguably even more inconsequential than Page vs. Hardy because, again, there isn’t anything up for grabs and the storyline has been even less interesting. Basically, Chuck Taylor and Orange Cassidy crashed Kip Sabian’s wedding, so now viewers are expected to want to see the babyfaces get the better of the heels again.

That said, this contest could go either way, which is why Best Friends are barely favored at -150 to Miro and Sabian’s +120. Best Friends winning would hopefully put this rivalry to rest, so they’re the better bet to go over here.
Allin/Sting vs Cage/Starks
Sting hasn’t competed inside a wrestling ring in nearly five-and-a-half years, though he’s shown signs of promise at 61-years-old in recent weeks by getting physical on Dynamite. It was previously said that he would only be interested in wrestling cinematic matches in AEW Revolution, but that could change depending on how much abuse he’s willing to take.

Team Taz have lost most of their heat throughout this program because they can never seem to win whenever it matters most. Despite that, at -500 in the odds, it’s highly unlikely that Sting will lose in his first match with the company, so look for him and Allin to pull out the victory as Allin continues to benefit from working alongside the Stinger.
AEW World Tag Team Championship
Inner Circle has been on the rocks for many months, and it’s more a matter of when and not if they’ll crumble entirely. Sammy Guevara quit the group a few weeks ago and should factor into the finish here, costing Jericho and MJF the match and the AEW World Tag Team Championship.

Besides, there’s plenty more for Young Bucks to do with the gold in their grasp, and it’s too soon for them to be dropping the belts. Their -250 odds indicate they’ll be champions for at least a little while longer.
AEW World Championship Exploding Barbed Wire Deathmatch
Needless to say, this one is bound to be a spectacle. It will mark the first Exploding Barbed Wire Deathmatch in nearly 25 years, and it just may be the first to ever take place in a major U.S. promotion. It’s right in Moxley’s wheelhouse, but that doesn’t mean he should be considered the odds-on favorite to win.

Rather, Omega is heavily favored to walk out still the AEW World champion at -550, and rightfully so. Although Jon Moxley was a great champ for most of 2020, he had his time, and now Omega should be in possession of the prestigious prize for the foreseeable future.
The Omega era in AEW has only just begun.
