MMA is now legal in France allowing Bellator to host two events in Paris on Saturday, October 10th.
In the main event of Bellator 248, Michael Page is welcoming Ross Houston to Bellator in a very intriguing welterweight matchup. The co-main event features Oliver Enkamp against Emmanuel Dawa.
Bellator 248’s main card airs live at 11:30 AM EST on CBS Sports Network in the States and on DAZN in Canada. Let’s take a look at the odds for this event and which bets I’m targeting.

Does Winner Earn a Title Shot?
Michael Page is one of Bellator’s biggest stars but fans have been disappointed in the level of competition he has faced ever since his first pro loss to Douglas Lima. Yet, Ross Houston is one of the top prospects in the sport and is finally get his due at a major promotion.
Page & Houston Recent Fights
Shinso Anzai, win by KO | Fight 1 | Nicolas Dalby, no-contest (an excessive amount of blood on canvas) |
Gianni Melillo, win by KO | Fight 2 | Stefano Paterno, win by split decision |
Richard Kiely, win by KO | Fight 3 | Nathan Jones, win by submission |
Douglas Lima, loss by KO | Fight 4 | Aaron Khalid, win by decision |
Ross Houston is coming off one of the wildest MMA fights in recent memory as his Cage Warriors title fight against Nicolas Dalby was called a no-contest due to an excessive amount of blood on the canvas. Both men were bleeding like crazy, and the canvas got too slippery the ref called it off.

Entering the fight, there is no question Michael Page is much flashier and a better striker while Houston has the advantage on the ground. If Page can use his reach and weird movements he could easily piece Houston up and eventually land a hard shot to knock him out.
Yet, if Houston can make this a grinding fight by holding “MVP” up against the cage and trying to take him down he could have success and earn a decision win.

Ultimately, expect Page to eventually land a hard shot that drops Houston and finished him to earn another knockout win. Yet, -250 is a bit too steep for my liking.
Pick: Michael Page (-250)

Will Enkamp Remain Undefeated In Bellator?
Oliver Enkamp has had nothing but success since signing with Bellator after being released by the UFC after going 0-2. Dawa, meanwhile, will get a chance to fight at home in France in front of a limited amount of fans.
Enkamp & Dawa Recent Fights
Lewis Long, win by KO | Fight 1 | Gabriel Conti, win by TKO |
Walter Gahadza, win by submission | Fight 2 | Gabriel Barreiro, win by KO |
Danny Roberts, loss by TKO | Fight 3 | Ivan Bogdanov, loss by TKO |
Nordine Taleb, loss by decision | Fight 4 | Yede Awo, win by submission |
On paper, this looks like a fight that they want Oliver Enkamp to win. He does what Dawa does just better. He is a better striker and is better on the ground.
Early on while on their feet, I expect Enkamp to use his technical striking to piece up Dawa and eventually land something big and hurt him. Once he has Dawa hurt, look for Enkamp to either finish him off via ground and pound or submission.
Regardless, I expect Enkamp to win by stoppage in the first or second round and at -205 it is a very solid bet.
Pick: Oliver Enkamp (-205)
Other Bellator 248 Picks:
- Ryan Scope (+225): Although Scope is on a two-fight losing streak it is to elite competition. Omer hasn’t been fighting on that level and Scope should do enough on the feet to earn a decision win. To me, this is a pick’em fight so at +225 is massive value.
- Mads Burnell (-750): Burnell should still be in the UFC but it was a good signing by Bellator to bring him in. Burnell should get Banovic to the ground and submit him.
