- The Toronto Home Series is the final event of the Call of Duty League regular season
- Of the eight teams participating, four of them still have a shot to finish first in the standings
- Both the Dallas Empire and the Florida Mutineers have won three events this year
After a long regular season that had to shift to an online format because of COVID-19, the end of the Call of Duty League Regular Season is finally here. The final event is the Toronto Home Series that takes place from July 24th to July 26th, and features four teams with a chance to finish first in the standings. Although all 12 teams in the CoD League will qualify for Championship Weekend, this event has a lot on the line in terms of seeding.

Don’t Fall for Faze
This might be the most stacked event of the entire year. The top four teams are all competing in the Toronto Home Series and they’ll be fighting for that all important first seed. Among them, Atlanta Faze are considered the very slight favorites over Chicago, Dallas and Florida. With that said, Atlanta isn’t the pick here.

Although they currently lead the league in CDL points, at the past two events they’ve had some striking losses. In the Paris home series, Atlanta made it all the way to the finals but were shut out 3-0 by the Florida Mutineers.

In the following event, the Faze were upset by the Toronto Ultra before getting handed another 3-0 by the Chicago Huntsmen. The Atlanta Faze just simply don’t have the results over the past couple of events to be the deserved favorites here.
Three Wins Under Their Belts
In this event, there isn’t really a dark horse considering how stacked the top of the field is. The real value comes at Dallas or Florida at +260. Both teams have won three events over the course of the Call of Duty League; Atlanta only has two. Realistically, Dallas should probably be considered the favorite since they’re fresh off a win in the London Home Series.

The Dallas Empire only dropped a single game on their way to winning that event. It included 3-0 victories over the Subliners, the Legion and the Mutineers.

Any of the top four teams could bring this one home, but in my eyes, the smart bet is Dallas. Ride the hot hand.
Pick: Dallas Empire (+260)
Group A Winner
Team | Odds |
---|---|
Chicago Huntsmen | -250 |
Optic Gaming LA | +450 |
Toronto Ultra | +550 |
Seattle Surge | +900 |
Chicago Gets a Freebie
How on Earth did Chicago get a group this easy? Group A only has one of the top four teams. For Chicago, this should be a free pass to the semifinals and anything else would be disappointing. Toronto, Seattle and Optic LA have the three lowest point totals in this event.

There is some upset potential, especially from a hungry Toronto team that has beaten Atlanta Faze in the past. Considering how much is on the line here, Chicago should be playing at their best and they shouldn’t be dropping matches to weaker teams. Stick with the Huntsmen here.
Pick: Chicago Huntsmen (-250)
Group B Winner
Team | Odds |
---|---|
Atlanta Faze | +150 |
Dallas Empire | +180 |
Florida Mutineers | +180 |
Minnesota Rokkr | +1300 |
As for the Group of Death, take your pick between Dallas, Florida and Atlanta. To keep things consistent, I’m sticking with Dallas to emerge as the Group B winner. That leaves Florida or Atlanta to fall short of the semifinals because of an incredibly stacked group.
Pick: Dallas Empire (+180)
