West Point Stumble
Trump’s latest misstep was a literal one. His awkward, slow-footed descent down a ramp following his speech to cadets at West Point raised serious concern over his physical well being.
Coupled with his inability to raise a glass to his mouth with his right hand during the same speech, there appeared to be solid evidence of cognitive decline in the President. His critics were quick to point this out on social media.
What the hell is wrong w/ @realDonaldTrump? He can’t lift a glass to his face w/o 1 hand helping the other, & he descended a ramp like a terrified fragile old man about to fall. America has a right to know his health/medical condition… #Trump #WestPoint pic.twitter.com/zePbHFVhIZ

It became such a firestorm that Trump felt the need to tweet out in his own defense. He claimed the ramp was steep, and that he ran off the end of it. Video evidence displayed neither of his claims to be factual.
For a President who likes to portray himself as strong and powerful, these sequences instead made him appear weak and frail.
America Still In Disarray
Black Lives Matters protests continue to be held around the country. Late last week, Rayshard Brooks was killed by police in Atlanta. Trump also said he won’t watch the NFL if players resume taking a knee during the National Anthem in support of the protests.
Meanwhile, America’s rush to reopen its economy has led to significant spikes in COVID-19 cases in southern states such as Florida, Texas, Arizona, and Oklahoma, all of them run by Trump-supporting Republican Governors.
President Trump on the coronavirus pandemic, according to the pool:
"If we stop testing right now, we’d have very few cases, if any."— Peter Alexander (@PeterAlexander) June 15, 2020
Meanwhile, previously hard-hit states such as Michigan and New York, where Democratic Governors were criticized by Trump for installing harsh shelter-in-place regulations, are stabilizing and showing a decline in coronavirus cases.
Despite urging from the country’s infectious disease experts to wear a mask in public to help combat the virus, Trump, the leader of the country, refuses to do so.
Trump Ready To Rally Again
Trump intends to launch his campaign rallies starting next week in Tulsa. It was originally scheduled for June 19th – the anniversary of one of the worst racial massacres in American history in Tulsa – known as Juneteenth. Following severe criticism of the choice of date, it’s since been rescheduled to June 20th.
He’s also planning rallies for Arizona, Texas, and Florida – states where cases of coronavirus are rapidly increasing.
A New Face
Libertarian Jo Jorgensen has officially entered the Presidential race. There were fears among Democrats that a third-party candidate might hurt Biden’s chances.
Congratulations, @realDonaldTrump! Are you aiming for $30,000,000,000,000? https://t.co/6FXjHWJi8h
— Jo Jorgensen (@JoForLiberty) June 10, 2020
Well, Spike Cohen, Jorgensen’s Vice-Presidential nominee, wants to put a Waffle House on every corner. That sounds like a platform more appealing to Trump supporters.
Pick: Joe Biden (-130)
