Four players ranked inside the ATP 60 — Hubert Hurkacz, Reilly Opelka, Tommy Paul, and Miomir Kecmanovic — are participating in their first live tennis event since sports shut down due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
While taking proper precautions and following social distancing recommendations, these players have an opportunity to play and entertain an audience who are excited to have sports again. The players will continue round robin play as well as the finals on Saturday.
Hurkacz vs Opelka Round Robin Odds
Player | Spread | Moneyline | Total |
---|---|---|---|
Hubert Hurkacz | +0.5 (-115) | -110 | O 13.5 (-120) |
Reilly Opelka | -0.5 (125) | -130 | U 13.5 (-120) |
Odds taken May 8
Opelka is currently in first place, having not lost a match, and only dropping one set in his first two round robin match ups. Hurkacz is in third place with a 1-1 record. The two players have faced each other once before, at the 2018 Wimbledon qualifiers where Hurkacz took the win in straight sets.

Going into the last match of round robin, Opelka has the slightly better odds to take the match, which most likely comes from how dominant he’s been this tournament. Overall, both players are basically the same. If Opelka is able to continue his momentum from today, mixed with his 6’11, 225-pound size, he will most likely be able to win this match.
The momentum kept going, and @ReillyOpelka pushed through to take the W. 🙌

Paul vs Kecmanovic Round Robin Odds
Player | Spread | Moneyline | Total |
---|---|---|---|
Tommy Paul | +2.0 (-120) | +130 | O 13.5 (-115) |
Miomir Kecmanovic | -2.0 (120) | -175 | U 13.5 (-125) |
Going into their last round robin match, Kecmanovic has significantly better odds than opponent Tommy Paul. Kechmanovic has been pretty even across the board during his past two matches, earning a second place on the current standings.
Paul, on the other hand, has been unable to win a match this tournament, going 0-2 onthe first day, only winning one set, and losing 19 games.

These two players have faced each other once before, just earlier this year at the New York Open. Kecmanovic dictated play during that match, and beat Paul in straight sets in the round of 32.
A fairly less evenly matched pair, Kecmanovic is the better bet here with -175 odds.
Finals Predictions
With a quick turnaround now that the rest of the round robin play as well as the finals and are all being played tomorrow, here are some final predictions, based on what has been played up to this point, and the current standings.
After Day 1, @ReillyOpelka leads the @MyUTR Pro Match Series standings.

Right now, the player to beat is clearly United State’s Reilly Opelka. The 22-year old has played great tennis in his past two matches at this tournament. He has not shown any signs of fatigue or letting up on either of his opponents throughout the matches. He does have a tough final round robin match up, which will challenge him. But if he’s able to find a way to continue his momentum and find his way in the finals, his play should award him the final win.
Based on the current standings, and who still has to face who, it seems to be a fair prediction to say that Opelka will be seeing Kecmanovic in the finals. Kecmanovic has probably his easiest match of the tournament as his last round robin tomorrow.
Seeing that he’s currently in second place and has the better odds to win his match tomorrow, it should be a rematch of Opelka and Kecmanovic in the final.
