Broncos Busting With Picks
After marching to four wins in their final five games to close out the 2019 NFL season with a 7-9 record, the Broncos are currently set to make the 15th overall pick in Thursday night’s virtual draft. If the team elects to stand pat, they are unlikely to have a shot at landing Jeudy, who is pegged as a strong -145 bet to be among the first 11 players taken.
It could go either way. Don’t believe Broncos stay at 15. My sources tell me they go up to 8 or 10 and get Jeudy.

The Broncos enter the weekend with 11 picks, including five in the first three rounds, and GM John Elway is reportedly pursuing a deal that would include some of those picks in return for a top ten selection that would lift Denver ahead of the Raiders, Niners, and New York Jets in the race to land one of the top receivers in this year’s draft class.
That speculation has fuelled a steady improvement in the Broncos’ odds of picking up Jeudy, which lagged at a lengthy +600 in late March.

However, with a deal yet to be made, and Jeudy joining CeeDee Lamb as a -110 co-favorite to be the first wide receiver taken, it remains far from assured that the former Alabama Crimson Tide star will land in the Mile High City.
Raiders, Niners, Jets in the Hunt
Sporting two picks in the top 20, including the 12th overall selection, the Raiders have been perched as favorites to draft Jeudy since the odds opened, and are listed as the team to pick Jeudy in our SBD Mock Draft.
The Raiders’ receiving corps ranked 12th in the NFL during their final campaign in Oakland with 256.9 yards per game, and was bolstered by the free-agent addition of veteran Nelson Agholor, but lacks a star wideout that can bring the offense to the next level.
The #49ers have made the following players available for trade, per @mlombardiNFL:
– DE Dee Ford
– LB Kwon Alexander
– S Jaquiski Tartt
– WR Marquise GoodwinThe team is light on draft capital and strapped for cash, but Ford, Alexander and Tartt all on the block is unexpected.

The 49ers acquired the Colts’ first-round pick in a deal that sent talented defensive tackle DeForest Buckner to Indianapolis, and are set to pick immediately after Las Vegas at No. 13. With Emmanuel Sanders leaving town to sign as a free agent in New Orleans, and Marquise Goodwin coming off an injury-plagued season and reportedly on the trading block in a bid to clear salary cap space, San Francisco is very much in the hunt for a wide receiver at this year’s draft.

The Jets cannot be counted out as a potential destination for Jeudy. New York sports the 11th overall pick, and is pegged as a short +325 bet in the Jeudy odds. However, with the Jets also in need of some serious upgrades on their offensive line and defense, there is a strong likelihood that they will search for downfield upgrades later in the draft.
Elway Unafraid to Pull the Trigger
That leaves the door open for the Broncos to make their move. The team has reportedly talked to both the Arizona Cardinals and Cleveland Browns, who own the No. 8 and No. 10 picks, respectively. With just two picks in the first three rounds, the Cardinals look to be a good fit as trade partners, especially after addressing their downfield needs by dealing for star DeAndre Hopkins.
GM John Elway has made 20 draft-day trades.

As for the Browns, any deal with them would likely not happen until they see how the start of the draft unfolds, and whether they can address their needs, particularly on offensive line, with the No. 10 pick.
However, with Elway’s track record of making trades at the draft table, including four last year, expect the Broncos to pull the trigger on a deal that positions them to put Jeudy in the orange and blue.
Pick: Denver Broncos (+300)
