Two of the most dynamic teams in the NBA meet on Friday Night as the Houston Rockets visit the Golden State Warriors, at 10:30 PM ET at Oracle Arena.
The Rockets lost to the Portland Trail Blazers on Thursday Night 111-104; they couldn’t handle the Blazers offense on the last stretch of the game. “They made some big plays down the stretch,” Dwight Howard said. “It seemed like every time we would close the gap, they came down and got a great shot. This was big for them.”
The Rockets are now 5-5 away from home and 5-4-1 against the spread on the road.
The Warriors are 13-10 this season and beat the Dallas Mavericks on Wednesday with Steph Curry scoring 33 points.
“He’s a great player and an all-time great shooter,” coach Mark Jackson said of Curry, who also had 10 assists. “I’ve seen Steph Curry every single day take that shot hundreds and hundreds of times, thousands of times, so when the curtains open up you expect it to go in.”
The Warriors are 3 points favorites in the NBA odds. Houston is 8-2 SU in its last 10 games when playing on the road against Golden State, including a game they won on December 6th 105-83. That night James Harden had 34 points, and Howard added 18 rebounds.
Golden State is 1-5 ATS in its last 6 games at home, and 1-4 ATS in its last 5 games when playing Houston.
