Odds Against Liverpool Breaking 49-Game EPL Unbeaten Record

• While Liverpool have their eyes set on the Premier League trophy, they will soon be in reach of Arsenal’s 49-game unbeaten run in the Premier League
• Currently, Liverpool are sitting on 42 games unbeaten in the Premier League, which is good for second place in the record books
• Bookmakers believe it is more likely that Liverpool will lose in the next seven games and not break the record with a line of (-375)

The 2019/2020 Premier League race is all but finished for Liverpool. The league leaders have a 22-point advantage on back-to-back defending champions Manchester City with only 13 matches to go. This means Jurgen Klopp’s squad would have to lose 62% of their remaining games to relinquish their hold on the title. With one hand already on the trophy, their eyes now turn to the record books, as they could become one of the most storied teams in the Premier League era.

With these records approaching, there are a variety of prop bets on the team from Merseyside. While it seems as though Liverpool are flying and are invincible, every giant loses eventually. One must consider the circumstances of the rest of the season and then judge the odds for themselves. If Liverpool locks the title up in March, they could rotate the squad and give youngsters like Curtis Jones, and Harvey Elliot a chance to prove themselves. Bring the Champions League into the mix and the squad will rotate even more, raising the concern over staying unbeaten.

Once again, considering the amount of rotation Liverpool will be doing in the latter part of the season, this is not an automatic bet. Their next seven games include some difficult opponents as well, including Everton, Crystal Palace and Manchester City in successive matches.

However, it is hard to see Liverpool losing, yet even dropping points. Their squad players have proven they can come in and make differences in large games, as previously seen in the last Merseyside Derby which was taken over by Xherdan Shaqiri and Divock Origi. Also, the value for betting “yes” is quite large, and having not lost in any game since Napoli in the Champions League, the prop is very achievable.

More of an interesting prop is how much Liverpool will win the title by? Their lead presently is 22, however, Manchester City are back on good form and will look to reduce that lead. 22 points is the largest ever lead in Premier League history and while Liverpool can still break Arsenal’s record, they also can be expected to drop points. Even one draw could see the “Under” total hit, and at -110, it is the smarter bet.

Similarly to the first two props, I do not see Liverpool losing points during the last 13 matches. Drop points, yes, lose games, no. Klopp has turned this team into a group of mentality monsters that nick late goals and find crazy ways to get results and it’s hard to see that changing over the course of a couple of months.

Odds Liverpool Wins 37 EPL Games

The bet most people are talking about. Is it possible for “The Unbearables” to win 37 matches in the league? A feat that has never been done or even came relatively close to happening in any of Europe’s top five leagues. The answer is probably not. Despite tempting odds, it is just too risky to bet with their fixture list and the possibility of playing seven games with the title already in their hands.

Odds Liverpool Wins All Home Ganes

Liverpool only have six home Premier League games left on their schedule. They have not dropped points at Anfield in the League since March 3rd of last year against Everton. In their last six they will play West Ham, Bournemouth, Crystal Palace, Aston Villa, Burnley and Chelsea. All of those games are extremely winnable, and I personally expect Anfield to carry this team through the end of the season. “Yes” at +210 is a solid bet that will see you a good return.

Out of all these prop options, my best bet is Liverpool going unbeaten. You do not have to worry about the Reds losing, and they could draw every single game, and the bet could still hit. At +325 it will give you a better return than the first prop as well.
