Logano Looking Good
Logano is going to be a popular bet this week as he’s coming off a win in the 2019 qualifying races. That wasn’t an aberration by any stretch; that proved to be his fifth straight Top 10 result, which includes four Top 5’s. And keep in mind, he won the Daytona 500 in 2015 and hasn’t finished lower than sixth since.

In terms of the Busch Clash, another exhibition race, Logano has not placed lower than sixth since 2013. He has one victory, five Top 5’s and has posted four consecutive Top 3 results. There’s a clear reason why he’s among the favorites at every sportsbook.
Elliott Does Well in Duels
Elliott has a strong track record with the Duel races as he picked up a win both in 2017 and 2018. He didn’t win in 2019 but he wasn’t far off the pace as he placed fifth in his heat race. He’s someone you’ll have to consider for this pre-championship race.

As for the Daytona 500 itself, you’ll probably want to put your money elsewhere. Elliott has never finished better than 14th in eight starts and has left for just 56 laps in total. The longer format of the Daytona 500 doesn’t seem to suit him well whereas the shorter Duels are better tailored to his strengths.
Hamlin Has History of Success
Hamlin will be talked about plenty this week as he’s the defending Daytona 500 champ. He earned the big win for Joe Gibbs Racing last year en route to a fairly strong season. That was his second Daytona 500 win in the last four years. Beyond that, he’s also done fairly well in the Duels as well.

Overall, Hamlin has won three Duels events as well as two Busch Clashes. He has five Top 10 results in his last six Duels with four Top 5’s and two wins. That should give bettors plenty of confidence to back him.
