Hamilton Poised to Cruise to Title Win
Hamilton currently holds a wide 74-point lead over Mercedes teammate Valtteri Bottas in the F1 Drivers Standings and can clinch this season’s championship by finishing seventh or better in Sunday afternoon’s running of the 2019 United States Grand Prix on the Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas.
Lewis Hamilton says he can still get better as he embarks on a weekend when he should clinch a sixth #F1 title.

Hamilton is coming off his 10th win of the season at last weekend’s Mexican Grand Prix, and has reached the podium in 15 of 18 race appearances this season. Hamilton has also dominated at this event in recent years, taking home the checkered flag in five of seven previous appearances at the United States Grand Prix, and finishing no worse that fourth during that stretch.
Hamilton is coming off his 10th win of the season at last weekend’s Mexican Grand Prix, and has reached the podium in 15 of 18 race appearances this season.
While Hamilton is positioned to cruise to this season’s title, Charles Leclerc will be aiming to rebound from disappointing runs at Japan and Mexico as he prepares for Sunday’s race also sporting +185 odds.
Leclerc Struggling to Find Consistency
Leclerc has endured a roller-coaster campaign in his second full season driving for Ferrari. The 22-year-old was plagued by technical problems and plain old bad luck early in the season while reaching the podium just once over his first six races. With Ferrari engineers address the engine and tire issues that denied him and teammate Sebastian Vettel a win through the first 12 races of the season, Leclerc enjoyed a breakthrough in the second half.

The Monte Carlo native posted his first two career wins at Belgium and Italy, and followed up with podium finishes at Singapore and Russia. But an early-race collision with Max Verstappen doomed him to a sixth place finish at Japan, and Leclerc was unable to capitalize on the pole position he claimed last weekend at Mexico, finishing off the podium in fourth place.

Vettel Aims to Overcome Middling Finishes at Austin
Further down the United States Grand Prix odds, Vettel closely trails the favorites at +275. Verstappen sits knotted with Bottas at +800, well ahead of Alexander Albon, who lags at a distant +10000 despite finishing in the top five in each of his past three races.

A four-time Formula One champion, Vettel has struggled to reclaim lost glory this season, claiming just one victory. However, the 32-year-old is coming off back-to-back second-place finishes at Japan and Mexico, and remains in a pitched battle with his Ferrari teammate for third place on the F1 Drivers Standings.
However, Vettel must overcome past disappointing finishes at Austin, where he has failed to win since 2013, and turned in fourth-place finishes in two of the past three years.
Verstappen Looks to Bounce Back from Shaky Performances
Verstappen also has some work to do to finish the season on a high note. A model of steady consistency early in the season, the Red Bull Racing driver has struggled in recent outings, and was bumped from the pole after failing to slow down for yellow flags during qualifying at Mexico, where he eventually finished in a distant sixth place.

Conversely, his Red Bull Racing teammate Alexander Albon will try to build on his recent steady performances, including a career-best fourth-place finish at Japan as he prepares for his United States Grand Prix debut. Albon has also started from the third row in three of his past four races, a trend that he must continue, and improve upon, if he is can capture his first career F1 victory this season.
