USA and Germany clash this Sunday at 4:30 PM ET at the RFK Stadium in a friendly match before the World Cup qualifying series arrive in a few weeks.

The USA team just got smoked by Belgium on Wednesday 4-1 and looked horrific in every aspect of the game, especially on defense.

“Facing Belgium at this stage allows us to get a couple answers in terms of where the players are at right now,” US coach Jurguen Klinsmann said. “When you lose them it’s not such a big pleasure, but I’d rather play Belgium 10 more times than El Salvador for the 100th time because that’s where you learn.”

Germany played against Ecuador also on Wednesday and they beat them 4-2 with most of the players from the B team. “I think there’s been far too much discussion about systems,” he said. “We look to find systems. The important thing is to have players who can attack and defend. I think tonight we did it. When we lost the ball, our front players worked hard to track back and do a job, and the Irish did too”, said German coach Joachim Lowe.

United States team needs to face Jamaica on June 7th for the World Cup Qualifiers, on June 11th they will take on Panama and on June 18th they host Honduras.  They had a great win over Costa Rica and dramatic draw against Mexico in the last two games; they need to show a better face than what they show against Belgium if they want to be in the next World Cup.
