Round 3 of the French Open will have Roger Federer taking on local Julien Benneteau in the main court on Friday.

The tennis odds pay the upset by the French 11.00 at Bwin and the victory of the best player in history at 1.01.

Federer beat Somdev Devvarman in the second round 6-2, 6-1, 6-1 and looked as the tremendous player he is.

“I’m playing OK,” Federer said about his game. “I didn’t back off and start to play too passively. I took it to my opponents.”

“I’m happy that I was playing offensive and aggressive tennis in the first two matches because I had the opportunity, but I didn’t back off and start to play passive tennis and wait for mistakes. So I took it to my opponent,” said Federer, the 2009 French Open champion. “But really, I think I’ll only know more after the Benneteau match, to be quite honest.”

Benneteau advanced after beaten Tobias Kamke 7-6, 7-5, 5-7, 0-6, y 6-4. The French had this game almost lost but was able to find his best form late.

“I definitely think the next match will be a big test for me to see where I stand,” Federer said. “I will only know more after the Benneteau match.”

Federer leads the series against Benneteau 4-2, plus, he won the only game they played on clay. The two victories by the French came when they played indoors.

Bet Federer to win this match in three sets; Benneteau should be tire from his battle against Kamke.
