The 2013 French open started this past weekend, and of course Rafael Nadal is the huge favorite despite all his recent injuries; however, there is always time to analyze the odds from the top rated players.

Rafael Nadal 2/1: Nadal is the best player clay surface had even seen and has won the French Open seven of the last eight years.  Their recent form says he’s good to go, but some has concern about his injuries.

“If you’d told me that four or five months ago I would have said you are crazy. So after eight tournaments, six victories and two finals, it’s a dream for me”, said Nadal after betaing Federer in the Italian Open last week.

Roger Federer 5/1: Federer is good enough to win this tournament; he’s very good in clay but can’t manage to beat Nadal in the process. Roger knows his nemesis is the Spanish left handed player, but he has an open road to be in the final knowing that Andy Murray is not in competition.

“I understand that everyone wants to be the first,” he said. “I was surprised how early it was straight after the French Open.”

Novak Djokovick 6/1: Djokovick looks for revenge and the only Grand Slam title he hasn’t been able to win. Nole will have to face Nadal before the final, so the road is not an easy one, but if someone is ready to beat the Spanish it’s Novak.

Other options:

David Ferrer 16/1

Tomas Berdych 28/1

Jo-Wilfred Tsonga 40/1
