Bucks Open With Short 6-1 Odds to Win 2020 NBA Championship

The Toronto Raptors made history last night by becoming the first non-American team to win the NBA Championship by eliminating the Golden State Warriors. It was a crazy path for Toronto highlighted by big trades, buzzer-beaters, and improbable comebacks.
Although the Raptors are the defending champions, they do not have the best 2020 NBA Championship odds, partly due to the fact that Kawhi Leonard could leave the team.

Is There Value on Milwaukee?
If Leonard leaves the Toronto Raptors then the Milwaukee Bucks could win the East, especially given the fact that Kevin Durant is hurt and his chances of taking the Knicks to the promised land are over. Boston also doesn’t seem keen on trading their young core and draft picks for the likes of Anthony Davis or others.
The Bucks will have a similar team to last year and with Giannis Antetokounmpo leading the way. There is a ton of value on the Bucks at +600, but it’s important to jump on their odds sooner rather than later.
Who’s the Best Bet in the East?
There is no question the Bucks have tremendous value at +600, but there is another bet I like more than that in the East, but it is a risky one. I like the Toronto Raptors at +1000. If Kawhi Leonard comes back these odds will drop to around +250, and it is worth the risk.
Toronto will run back the same roster with the likes of Kyle Lowry and Serge Ibaka, and Fred VanVleet and Pascal Siakam should only get better. Add Leonard back for another year and they are the clear cut top contender to win the championship, especially given the fact the Warriors will be worse with Durant and Klay Thompson out for some time.
It is a risky bet as if Leonard leaves the Raptors will have a slim chance to win. But, if he stays, +1000 it is a tremendous value.
