Gronkowski is no stranger to the WWE. He appeared at WrestleMania 33 to help former NFL’er Mojo Rawley win the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal. Is it impossible to think he’d appear in the event as more than a sideshow this year? Definitely not. Here’s the case why he’s a great value bet at +1600, plus one other wrestler you should keep an eye on.

The Case for Gronkowski
Gronk’s personality seems perfect for the WWE. He’s incredibly popular and also wildly athletic. After finishing his career as perhaps the best tight end of all-time, many have proposed he’d be a perfect fit for the wrestling world.
With only two weeks to go until WrestleMania 35 it might be tough to get Gronkowski the training he’d need to wrestle in an actual match.

All the entrants start in the wring and it’s absolute mayhem until only the winner remains. His limited skill set could be masked by all the action and he could win by simply performing a few feats of elite strength, which would come across as natural to anyone who watched his NFL career.

One other thing to consider, this event is often used to give someone a boost. Cesaro, Mojo Rawley and Baron Corbin were all elevated after winning in past years. It’s not crazy to think the WWE would go down the same path with Gronkowski and at +1600 it’s absolutely worth your action.
Could Curt Hawkins Break His Losing Streak?
One of the most entertaining WWE storylines going is Curt Hawkins’ 269 fight losing streak. He’s the second favorite behind Braun Strowman, but is still getting +1000 odds, which is pretty good value. It could be a great way to finish the storyline and give him the boost he so desperately needs. After losing so many matches, what better way to win than to toss someone over the top rope and get to hoist the ridiculously large Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal trophy?

Gronkowski would probably earn the biggest reaction from the crowd should he get the win, but Curt Hawkins would be a close second. For my money, both offer great value and are worth a look with the event drawing near.
