5 College Football 2019 Win Totals to Bet – Ohio State Excels Under Ryan Day

• The Clemson Tigers won the 2019 National Championship, beating Alabama 44-16
• Justin Fields transferred to Ohio State after Dwayne Haskins left early for the NFL Draft

Sportsbooks have released College Football win totals for the 2019 season and there’s major value to be had.  After going through the list of options, here are my five favorite bets on the board.

1) Alabama Crimson Tide Win More Than 11 Games

*All odds taken March 11

Not a lot of room for error with the total set at 11 wins, but I’m betting on the side of Nick Saban, Tua Tagovailoa and the Crimson Tide.

As per usual, Alabama faces a non-conference schedule that would struggle to compete with your local flag football team. They have Duke, New Mexico State, Southern Miss and Western Carolina.

2) Ryan Day Continues Ohio State Success

The Buckeyes have a new Head Coach in Ryan Day, but there’s reason to be optimistic about the change.

He was the mastermind offensive coordinator credited with getting the most out of Dwayne Haskins, who finished third in Heisman voting and is soon to be a first-round pick in the 2019 NFL Draft.

The new QB in Columbus is Justin Fields, who transferred from Georgia after seeing the success Day had with Haskins. Fields is the highest-rated recruit in Buckeyes history and second-highest in recent NCAA history, behind only Trevor Lawrence from Clemson.

Pick: OVER 10 Wins

3) Michigan Falters in 2019

The logic here is simple: Michigan is always one of the most bet on teams in college football, making it almost impossible to find value in betting them to hit a futures over.

Shea Patterson is back as the starting quarterback, which could be good or bad news depending on who you ask. He’s already being challenged by Cade McNamara after a tough close to the season that saw the Wolverines lose their final 2 games.

The reality here is, Michigan will likely finish with 9 or 10 wins, but one option is offering you +150. Ignore the name brand and take the value before it disappears and hammer the under.

Pick: UNDER 9.5 Wins

4) Bet On Lawrence & Swinney at Clemson

I’m not sure when the next time I bet against Dabo Swinney and Trevor Lawrence will be, but I don’t plan on it being any time soon.

The dynamic pairing led the Tigers to the 2019 National Championship, mowing down Alabama 44-16.

Lawrence returns and will be on a mission to win the Heisman to add to his growing trophy case, and I wouldn’t expect Swinney to stand in his way.

Wofford and Charlotte are part of a non-conference schedule that should lead to easy Clemson wins, making both the high total and the high price worth paying.

Pick: OVER 11 Wins

5) Florida State Seminoles Win Total

It’s a low win total for a storied Florida State program.

A year after they won only five games, it’s reasonable for the total to be low, but it’s one that you should see as a value play.

The Seminoles got great news when Wisconsin QB Alex Hornibrook announced he’d transfer, giving them a stable arm underneath center.

Louisiana-Monroe and Alabama State are on the non-conference schedule and are sure wins. Can the Seminoles win six of their other ten games? I’m betting yes and taking the over.
