Recent History

The teams last met in 2018 when the Titans beat the Eagles 26-23 in overtime in Nashville. Marcus Mariota threw a 10-yard touchdown pass to Corey Davis with 11 seconds left to give Tennessee the win.

Titans Offense vs Eagles Defense

The Titans traded star wide receiver A.J. Brown to the Eagles during the NFL Draft following a contract dispute. Tennessee then drafted Treylon Burks in the first round from Arkansas to take Brown’s place.

Burks has become more of a factor after an injury-plagued start to the season. He has 11 receptions for 181 yards in the last two games.

Derrick Henry remains the focal point of the Titans’ offense as he is second in the NFL in rushing yards (1,048) and rushing touchdowns (10). After being held to 39 yards against the Bengals last week, Henry will face an Eagles defense that is second in the league in total yardage but 18th in rushing yards.

The Eagles’ 23 takeaways are the most in the NFL.

Eagles Offense vs Titans Defense

Brown figures to be motivated to have a big game against his former team. The Eagles signed Brown to a four-year, $57-million contract immediately after acquiring him.

Brown is making a big impact in his first season in Philadelphia with 53 catches for 831 yards, seven touchdowns, and a 15.7-yard-a-catch average. However, he has been limited to 172 yards in the last four games on the heels of a 156-yard performance against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Oct. 30.

The Titans, though, could be a good matchup for Brown. They are 31st in the league in pass defense.

Of course, Tennessee will also have to deal with Jalen Hurts. He has thrown for 2,560 yards and 17 touchdowns with three interceptions and rushed for 597 yards and eight scores.

Hurts is the second pick in the NFL MVP odds at +350 behind Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes (-150).

Injury Report

Center Ben Jones (concussion) and kicker Randy Bullock (right calf) are expected to return for the Titans after missing the last two games. Defensive end Denico Autry (knee), wide receiver Cody Hollister (neck) and cornerback Elijah Molden (groin) have all been ruled out.

Out for the Eagles are safety C.J. Gardner-Johnson (kidney), who was injured last week, and defensive end Robert Quinn (knee). Undrafted rookie Reed Blankenship will take Gardner-Johnson’s spot in the starting lineup.

Titans vs Eagles Prediction

The Eagles have the best record in the league, but the Titans are the kind of team that could slow Philadelphia and Hurts down. Tennessee has not allowed more than 20 points in any of their last eight games and Henry can help the Titans control the time of possession.

Pick: Titans +4.5 (-110)

Season Record: 4-4 (-0.4 units) ATS
