Heavy +265 underdogs to advance heading into the series, the Indiana Pacers (50-36, 22-21 away, 46-37-3 ATS) head into Game 5 against the Milwaukee Bucks (50-36, 32-12 home, 37-48-1 ATS) with the chance to close out the best-of-seven.

The shorthanded Bucks, who are missing their two leading scorers, are listed as four-point underdogs in the Game 5 Pacers vs Bucks odds. Tip-off is scheduled for 8:40 pm CT/9:40 pm ET at Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee.

New York leads Philadelphia 3-1 and can close out at MSG tonight.

Indiana vs Milwaukee Injury Reports for Game 5

It’s possible that Milwaukee will have some reinforcements for tonight’s potential elimination game. Both Giannis Antetokounmpo (calf) and Damian Lillard (Achilles) are listed as “doubtful” but haven’t been ruled out.

Unfortunately for the Bucks, two more important names popped up on the injury report for Game 5. Khris Middleton (sprained ankle) and Patrick Beverly (oblique strain) are listed as probable.

The Pacers also have a significant name on their injury report: All-Star point guard Tyrese Haliburton is questionable due to back spasms.

Pacers Run Over Shorthanded Bucks in Game 4

Without Giannis (30.4 PPG, 11.5 RPG, 6.5 APG) and Lillard (24.3 PPG, 7.0 APG, 4.4 RPG), the Bucks were outgunned in Saturday’s 126-113 road loss. While that might have been the case either way, it certainly didn’t help that Bobby Portis (13.8 PPG, 7.4 RPG) was ejected after just seven minutes.

Myles Turner had a game-high 29 points for the Pacers while Tyrese Haliburton added 24 but just four assists.

Brook Lopez (27 points), Khris Middleton (25), and Malik Beasley (20) accounted for 63.7% of Milwaukee’s scoring in a losing effort.

The Bucks didn’t play badly; they wound up shooting 51.1% from the field and finished +4 on the glass, but Indiana’s three-point shooting proved the difference. The Pacers were an electric 51.2% from deep, going 22-of-43, led by a 7-of-9 performance from Myles Turner.

NBA player props from from DraftKings on April 30.

The player props for Game 5 show Khris Middleton with the highest point total of the night at 25.5, one higher than Pascal Siakam (24.5). Myles Turner (20.5) is the only other player over the 20-point plateau. Haliburton has an assist total of 10.5. He is still averaging 10 APG in the postseason despite a quite four-dime performance last time out.

Indiana Pacers vs Milwaukee Bucks Predictions for Game 5

The Bucks were going toe-to-toe with the Pacers for the first two quarters of Game 4 but Indiana’s three-point shooting proved impossible to keep pace with. It’s hard to see Indiana staying that hot from beyond the arc on the road, and if Bobby Portis can keep himself from getting ejected, the Bucks should be able to play considerably better defense as a whole.

Malik Beasley got considerably more run in Game 4 (34 minutes) than he had in any prior game in the series, and he didn’t waste the floor time, scoring 20 points on 8-of-12 shooting. I expect him to log considerable minutes again in Game 5.

IND vs MIL picks:

  • Bucks first-half moneyline (+122)
  • Beasley over 12.5 points (+102)
